Dallas native Carol Benson-Cobb is singing the blues and we love what she is doing. Her latest collection offers a soothing range from the cooler soft pale blues to deeper, more vibrant indigo tones. We had a chance to catch up with her in the magnificent John-Richard’s High Point showroom.
“My work reflects a feeling created within a color palette with an emphasis on the way colors can touch, layer and affect one another.”
-Carol Benson-Cobb
The abstract artist is known for custom colorization is a favorite of designers. Much like her personal style, her artistic style is clean, cool and serene. The colorist’s fluid layers and subtle shifts of pigment transitions may suggest landscape but truly, they evoke more of a calming mood-scape. The pieces are scalable, with a range of frame options to further define the end look. Her range extends the spectrum, which make her art the perfect designer’s go-to when a specific color story is needed.
At the latest High Point Market, we see that her art make the jump from the walls to furniture. Her Enigma painting combines with several mid-century inspired pieces to add a bar cabinet, credenza, martini table, and bed to her collection.
Also new to her offerings are these fabulous horse paintings, shown here in the blue range and also available in gold leaf. The scale and movement of these pieces are magnificent! Shop more of Carol Benson-Cobb’s work at John-Richard Collection.
