Unfortunately for this year’s Kips Bay Showhouse Dallas, a cantankerous neighbor (who doesn’t even live as close to the showhouse as one might expect) pitched a loud enough fit to reduce the month long charity to a mere four days. Not only will this impact funds raised for Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, but also for Dwell With Dignity and The Crystal Charity Ball, and most importantly the designers and sponsors who invested so much in the show house. If you are unable to get to the house in person, a 3D virtual video tour will be available. Here is a quick look at some of the rooms:
Nothing Nowhere All at Once Entry/stairwell by Jean Liu Design
Branca Inc’s garden inspired room.
Boldly chic dining room by Fisher Weisman Brugioni from San Francisco.
Detail: paintings are by Andrew Fisher, furniture and lighting by Fisher Weisman Collection.
Show stopper kitchen by Christopher Peacock (that’s him in the photo), loaded with rich colors and details, a tasting island with a gutter built into the center to ice down wine/champagne. Cool!
Dark interior Jenn Air refrigerator with cabinet doors.
Another angle of the kitchen, with ample pantry space and butlers pantry behind the tiled wall.
LC Studio created a fresh modern sitting room. Please note the two blue chairs- from Dallas’s newly launched MOUS STUDIO, an exciting new line for designers.
And this sectional is incredible.
Gracie Interiors – Chad Gracie’s Bon Viviant hideaway is located off of the pool area with a full bath and gorgeous, richly lacquered cranberry trim to bring the fine wallpaper to life.
Byron Risdon brought the inside OUT with this beautiful outdoor seating area- with all outdoor fabrics and stunning arrangements.
Master Bedroom by Natasha Baradaran
Master bath (above) and HIS Closet (below) designed by Huma Sulaiman Design.
Inspiration for this handsome closet was a Marrakech hotel. (Now I want to go there)
Avrea and Company knocked it out of the park with their Pretty In Plaid Bedroom. This room is loaded with elegant details that make it super luxurious and soothing- Mulberry Wallpaper, D Porthault, Pierre Frey Panels, Rose Cumming checked fabric. I could hang out ALL DAY in this fabulous room.
Reading Room by M+M Interior Design.
Lucinda Loya Interiors did something interesting with this bathroom. The mirrors are all Kohler- and she took 6 of them to a welder to manipulate the metal to fit a corner. Photographs don’t do justice, but it is very interesting to experience in person.
