Behold the creative European lighting trends of 2013. One of the artists featured at Amesterdam’s Frozen Fountain is Hans van Benthum. His whimsical style of lighting (above) as art is so fun, so pop, so refreshingly outside of the box.
The Umbrella Chandelier above is part of the Isn’t It Romantic exhibit at the MAKK in Cologne. Lighting as art.

This lighting was definitely better in person than in photo. The exactitude of the grid made for a cool pattern of light on the table below. Good for small spaces because it has a very light feel to it since you can see through it…it does not feel like it takes up a lot of space.
This chandelier was EVERYWHERE at IMM, in many different colors. Definitely the fixture of 2013. It looks better in person, by the way, imparting a feminine glam.

Loved all the lighting in Europe. I would place the Mooi things in my home for sure. Some do get a little wild!
