Making Rooms More Fashionable with Contemporary Chandeliers

Contemporary chandeliers- I am so drawn to them lately! The great ones are not always easy to find.  Impressive lighting can be a focal start-point to build a room scheme around or a dramatic fashionable update to an existing well designed room. Here are a few interesting ones I have found.

Flight Chandelier via Vosled via Modenus

1) The Flight Chandelier (above) by Vosled via Modenus and it is LED!!!  The Flight Chandelier echoes the basic anatomy of a classic chandelier but with a contemporary twist. Each of its 18 arms is suspended individually around a central body pendant, lit solely by 4 recessed, trimless LED down-lights.

Sputnik chandelier
2) The Italian Sputnik Chandelier above by Irwin Feld Design via Modenus
Chrome sputnik style chandelier with bursting chrome flowers around the bulbs.
18″ diam – this would be great in a guest bath.
Philippe Starck Onyx Baccarat Chandelier
3) Baccarat Black Onyx Chandelier above designed by Philippe Starck
Saks Fifth Avenue sells this one…. and regarding the price, I’ll quote an old saying: if you have to ask….
Yes, it is that expensive.
What are your thoughts on these? Your favorite?
