Magazine Street Shopping in New Orleans: Hazelnut

New Orleans shopping, magazine street shopping, Bryan Batt's store on

I want to share one of my favorite New Orleans stores for your Magazine Street shopping: Hazelnut. It is located in the Uptown area in a charming stretch of stores. The owner is none other than Bryan Batt, otherwise known as Sal on the show Mad Men, and his sense of style is incredibly sophisticated and tasteful. He curates a most wonderful selection of accessories and gifts. A  must for your shopping list next time you are in New Orleans.

I absolutely love to entertain. It’s a New Orleans thing to let the good times roll in style. Bryan, a native New Orleanian, can show you how it is done. These glasses are on my wish list. Hazelnut even offers the option to register or shop on-line. Is it wrong to register if you are already married?!! The thought crossed my mind because the store is just THAT good!!

His style is so elegant and classical – yet updated and contemporary.

Bryan Batt is also the author of this gorgeous book, also for sale in the shop. His talents include- actor, singer, author, decorator, business owner. Pretty incredible person!

  1. I’d love to visit this store in person. You’re really making me want to go to back to NOLA!

  2. “It’s a New Orleans thing to let the good times roll in style.” – clearly!! Bryan Batt’s store looks so gorgeous – I loved his portrayal of Sal on Mad Men, and his design aesthetic as well!
