Haute Bohemians by Miguel Flores-Vianna

Haute Bohemians review on www.CourtneyPrice.com

London based Miguel Flores-Vianna is a photographer and writer and has been an editor for more than twenty years. His photography is regularly published in various American and European magazines, and if you are like me, you have been saving his images for years. While his subjects are elegant spaces and places across the globe, there is something quite unique about his talent for seeing things in a way that others don’t- and his way of seeing things makes an enormous impression on those of us who get to see his work.  I didn’t realize just how much of a fan I was of his work until I flipped through the book and fell in love all over again with quite a few of my favorite design projects that I had torn from magazines over the years, like the one shown below.

This gorgeous coffee table book generously shares 250 color illustrations that will transport you to a world where all things are artistic and elegant. He takes the reader on a journey to London, Paris, Milan, Argentina, and more- from city flat to country farmhouse, from simple style to all-out opulence. Some of the spaces are grand, others are modest, but all are original, stylish, charming, and above all authentic, in the sense that they reveal their owners’ care and taste. Spend a little time with this book and trust me, it will likely inspire you to scan your own home with a fresh eye for edits or updates.

The 10 x 13 book makes a fashion statement which begs the question: Who, exactly, is an haute bohemian? Leave it to the discriminating eye of photographer Miguel Flores-Vianna, who clearly has a gift for capturing beauty and crafting memorable visuals from behind the lens. After enjoying this book, you might find yourself begging him to visit so he can capture the Haute Bohemian in you.  One of the more beautiful books of the year, this one is definitely a must-have for your own design library, and a perfect gift for design and travel enthusiast friends this holiday season.
